Student Welfare Officer

Location: The St Leonards Academy

The role of Student Welfare Officer is vital in responding to the needs of The St Leonards Academy’s young people. As a first point of contact for students, the successful candidate will be approachable and friendly with a positive attitude and an organised workstyle.

Fully explained within the job description and person specification, this role will be responsible for handling any queries raised by the students as well as administering first aid where required. In addition, the role will include general clerical duties such as record maintenance and liasing with parents when appropriate.

Facilities Manager

Location: Robsack Wood Primary Academy

Robsack Wood Primary Academy seeks to promote excellence, personal achievement and the realisation of each child’s belief in their potential through diverse and stimulating experiences which are appropriate to the needs of every pupil. Robsack Wood is a place where children develop a lifelong love of learning and thrive through a nurturing environment, centred on independence and self-motivation.

We are seeking to employ a Facilities Manager for 37 hours a week for 52 weeks of the year. The person appointed should be able to use their initiative in a variety of situations and be a good team member. The successful person would be responsible for the following areas of the Academy;

• To oversee the care, maintenance and cleaning and servicing of the Academy buildings, and to maintain a clean, safe, hygienic and secure site.
• To manage the Maintenance Technician and the Cleaning Team.
• To oversee the management of contractors on site, and the delivery and performance of contracts in connection with the site.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant – KS3 Thrive Co-ordinator

Are you seeking an opportunity to be part of a forward looking community intent on ensuring all children have the best chance of achieving their full potential?

We are looking for an emotionally intelligent, creative thinker, with drive and initiative who enjoys working with young people, particularly those with social and emotional needs.

You will be lead on the co-creation of the new KS3 Thrive Centre (years 7 – 8) at The Hastings Academy.

The Thrive approach supports students with social and emotional needs and works to address any developmental gaps they have, alongside Thrive, you will be supporting the students’ needs through the delivery of a creative curriculum.

The successful candidate needs to have experience in working in a similar context, be nurturing as well as have the ability to establish and maintain firm boundaries in leading and delivering the curriculum to a small group of students.

This post would be suitable for a candidate who has experience of working in a primary school as well as a secondary school.
